How it works

Two downloaded files, an orders export and a week's deliveries export, go into one Refresh All. The report then shows 77 items still to deliver on 5 order lines and 11 records to check. PO-1041 napkins: 10 ordered, 8 delivered, 2 still to deliver. PO-1043 breakfast tea: 8 ordered, 10 delivered, more delivered than ordered, from deliveries-week-41.csv row 7. PO-1054: no matching order, from deliveries-week-41.csv row 11.
Example with invented data, from the same workbook as the demo below.
A 76-second demo with no sound. The orders, deliveries and businesses shown are invented examples, and the spreadsheet views are drawn from an example workbook.
  1. Your team saves the files

Someone downloads the latest files from your order and delivery systems, as they do today, and saves them in one folder.

  2. One click builds the report

They open the workbook and click Refresh All. The downloaded files are only read, never changed.

  3. You see what's outstanding

For each order line, how many were ordered, how many delivered and how many are still to come, with the file and row each figure came from.

  4. And what needs checking

Missing, mistyped or unexpected records are listed separately, so your staff can decide what to do.

Orders and deliveries is one example. The same approach suits other regular reports, such as jobs planned against jobs completed, or weekly sales across several locations. Each is a one-off project for one report: built from a sample of your files, tested, and handed over with a short guide. It runs in your own Excel for Windows, with no monthly fee. Price agreed after looking at your files.
